About the event:

On February 24, 2022, President Putin launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, threatening the safety and livelihoods of Ukraine’s civilians. Governments, NGOs and businesses responded by imposing sanctions, providing aid to the Ukrainian people, and by offering humanitarian support. But what comes next? One Young World Ambassadors from all over the world have joined efforts to help the people affected by this war in Ukraine. We wish to shed light on how similar action can be diverted towards other humanitarian arises.

We will shine a light on the experiences of three Ambassadors who:

  • Are affected first-hand by the suffering of their loved ones fleeing from Ukraine.

  • Are responding on the frontlines of the humanitarian crisis.

  • Have experience evacuating individuals from other emerging conflicts, including Afghanistan, and supported refugee resettlement.
